This includes, without limitation, data the user may enter into the app such as pet records, stray records, care tasks, inventory information, budget history, planner entries, reminder settings, display preferences, and locally added photos, all of which are handled within the local application state.

4. Local Storage on the User's Device

The application stores user data locally in the browser using IndexedDB. The codebase opens a local browser database and saves and loads the app state from that local store, rather than from a remote account system or cloud backend.

As a result:

• User data is saved on the user's device and browser environment.
• Data availability may depend on the user's browser settings, storage permissions, device condition, and whether the browser data is cleared.
• If the browser storage is deleted, reset, or corrupted, locally stored app data may be lost.
• The developer does not have routine access to this local data because it is not collected centrally by the application.

5. Export and Import Controls

The application includes user-controlled export and import features in the settings area. The interface expressly provides options to export app data as a JSON backup and to import a previously saved backup file.

These tools are provided so users can manage their own backups and portability of locally stored data. Users are solely responsible for:

• Safeguarding exported backup files.
• Verifying the source and integrity of imported files.
• Managing copies of exported data stored on their own devices or third-party storage services they choose to use.

6. Offline Functionality

The application is intended to function offline. Its local-first structure, including IndexedDB-based storage, supports use without constant network connectivity.

Offline functionality does not eliminate all third-party network interactions in every possible scenario, particularly where a user voluntarily uses an outside service such as Payhip for payment processing or an external image-hosting service for image links. The application itself, however, is architected to operate without requiring a user account or continuous server-side data exchange for core use.

7. Cookies, Analytics, and Tracking

Neither the sales website nor the web application uses analytics, advertising trackers, behavioral profiling tools, or similar visitor-monitoring technologies for business intelligence, remarketing, or user surveillance, according to the implementation and operating model described.

No cookies are used for analytics, advertising, or tracking purposes on the sales website or within the app. The site and app are intended to operate without analytics cookies, marketing pixels, session replay tools, or similar tracking technologies.

8. Payment Processing Through Payhip

Payments for the web application are processed through Payhip, a third-party payment and commerce provider designated for checkout and transaction handling under the sales flow you described. Information submitted during payment, such as billing details, payment method information, and transaction-related data, is processed by Payhip in accordance with Payhip's own terms, privacy disclosures, and compliance framework.

The developer does not use the application itself to collect payment card details. Payment-related information is instead handled by the third-party checkout provider selected for the sale transaction.

Because Payhip is an independent third party, its privacy and cookie practices may differ from those of the application and sales website. Users should review Payhip's own legal documentation before completing a purchase.

9. No Sale or Sharing of Personal Data

Because the application is not designed to collect user data centrally for normal operation, it does not sell user personal data and does not share application-use data with advertisers, data brokers, or analytics vendors for monetization purposes.

Any information voluntarily sent by a user outside the app itself, such as by direct email, will be handled only to the extent necessary to respond to the inquiry, fulfill support obligations, or address legal and security matters.

10. International Privacy Alignment

This privacy model is intended to align with generally recognized global privacy principles, including data minimization, purpose limitation, user control, storage limitation, and privacy by design. The core design choice is that application data remains local unless the user independently chooses to export it or interact with a third-party payment or communication service.

11. Data Security

Because application data is stored locally on the user's device, the security of that information depends in significant part on the user's own device security, browser security, operating environment, and backup practices.

Reasonable efforts may be made to distribute the application in a manner consistent with good software and privacy practices, but no local-storage application can guarantee absolute protection against device compromise, malware, unauthorized local access, or user-side deletion. Users should maintain appropriate device safeguards and secure any exported backup files.

12. Children's Privacy

The application is not designed to knowingly collect personal data from children through an account system or hosted user database, because it does not provide such a system for application use. If a person believes personal information has been shared directly by email in error, a request for deletion may be sent to the contact address below.

13. External Links and Third-Party Services

The broader experience may include links or user-initiated interactions with third-party services, such as:
